Art has always offered the most meaningful forms of self-expression. |
Beginning in 2012, Isabelle attended semester-long and weekend workshops in metalsmithing at Moore and Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, PA for several years. These experiences helped Isabelle form a crystal clear vision for her future. She would launch a jewelry business specializing in one-of-a-kind pieces.
But Isabelle’s relationship with jewelry started years before she formally entered the industry. As a little girl, Isabelle loved making art and creating something beautiful with her hands. She would make seed bead rings and glass bead necklaces before she discovered sterling silver and gold.
She sought out opportunities to learn about the business any chance she could get. In high school, Isabelle worked at Randolph’s Fine Jewelry in Chestnut Hill, PA. Working alongside master jeweler Randolph Tartagilo, she learned the ropes of running a business, crafting high-end pieces and building strong customer relationships.
Isabelle went on to attend Tyler School of Art as a fine arts undergraduate, and recently graduated from GIA's Jewelry Design and Technology program in 2020. Her work has been featured in British Vogue and British Vanity Fair and she’s proud to show her work at State College Arts Fest for the last 6 years.
Isabelle works tirelessly in her studio to create beautiful pieces of jewelry. As someone who is always curiously observant of nature, Isabelle’s inspiration strikes most often while wandering through the woods and searching for seashells on the beach.

WHY JEWELRY?
I always loved making art ever since I was a little girl. Once I discovered jewelry I fell in love with expressing myself through metal and gemstones. The ability to wear your work/art made me want to pursue jewelry even more.
IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE ANOTHER PROFESSION, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
I would say baking. I truly enjoy working and creating with my hands. Making something that puts a smile on someone’s face brings me the most joy.
DESCRIBE THE PERSON WHO WEARS Isabelle Ecker Jewelry IN THREE WORDS.
Confident, sophisticated, and fashionable. Someone who’s definitely willing to step outside the box.
WHAT IS THE MOST EXCITING PART OF YOUR JOB?
I love being a female business owner and getting the opportunity to work alongside so many amazing women. Being a jeweler can often be a solitary experience, so I enjoy interacting with clients and creating custom pieces with them. I also love getting to design and fabricate new work on the bench.
WHERE DO YOU DRAW INSPIRATION FROM?
I’ve always drawn inspiration from travel and nature. I find most of my inspiration from organic shapes, every time I come back to look at them they seem to change. I like to bring that aspect into my jewelry.
AS A DESIGNER, WHAT IS YOUR MOST MARKED CHARACTERISTIC?
Refined imperfection.
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT?
So far I would have to say being featured in British Vogue, Vanity Fair and GQ.
WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE ARTISTS?
I love Degas, J.M.W. Turner, and Georges Seurat to name a few.
WHAT PART OF WORK CONTINUES TO SURPRISE YOU?
How much work it takes to run a small business!
